Topgear 350Z video
Hey, can anyone host the 'Top Gear' show for me? I'd love to see it. From what I gethered here it's not very positive, but I had reservations about the engine and interior quiality 1st couple times I drove it.
Note the exhaust note (***** - that makes a lot of sense)
I reckon overseas gets a HiTech or similar as standard - hence
their comments like "listen ter me engine" etc, and their
faster 0-60 and 1/4 times to our journos times.
Golds fastest anyway - "the run" and this vid.!
Whats the godzilla gonna be called ?

Last month or maybe this months TopGear Mag did a road test on the 350Z, RX8, Z4 (I think) and the new Crossfire and gave the Nissan the thumbs up against this opposition, stating it was a true sports car and not a boulevard cruiser.

I don't think that they get faster times O/S. Are you refering to the States? If so then the times are pretty similar to what we get here when you take the following into account:
a) 0-60mph is not the same as 0-100kph. 60mph = 96.5kph and that 'extra' 3.5kph takes around 0.3 secs to cover. Also 0-100kph requires the 2nd to 3rd shift while 0-60mph does not.
b) In the States they often run with one person on-board and publish the 'best' time that they achieved. On the other hand, here they always have 2 on-board (and 1/2 a tank of fuel). Also here they run in both directions and then publish the 'average' of runs in both directions.
ps. Quickest time for the 350Z than I've seen so far is from a German magazine 'Sports Auto' where they managed 5.8sec for 0-100kph and 13.6sec ofr 0-160kph.

Cool, where did you see that? I'd like to get my hands on that and see it.
