Lightbulb Wakefield raceway 4th Nov

I'm heading down for the day (4th Nov). If anyone else is interested in a day at the track for their 350z this is a fun place to take your car.

Have a look at the web site for an idea of what to expect...this is considered to be a "slow" track. It's a great place to show off some lateral Gs if you aren't careful.

Heaps of corners and a medium straight... prepare to leave with corner-itis if you know what i mean!

We'll meet on the way there or at the track depending on who is coming and from what direction.

Default sounds good

i will book it in, i have been dying to get to the track but nov/dec is my busiest time of the year so i will have to wait & see if the day is actually free or not. Tuesdays are usually ok so it should be fine.
maybe i should try to get the new exhaust by then?

I have to pull out of the track day next week.

Some guy in a massive truck rammed me while i was at a set of lights. My rear end isn't there anymore....

What can I say.... !

...........

Words cannot express what a waste it is to smash up a 350z, it should be made into a criminal offense.

I hope I can get my car back on the road.... It might be structural though.

Sorry to hear that but I assume you're OK to be posting here which is a good thing.

So what did the idiot use as an excuse?

I'd push for write off with you're insurer.

I hope you told your insurer and the cops about that statement. Not only is it an admission of guilt (not really a question in this case anyway) but I'm almost certain it would see him charged with negligent driving if he hasn't been already.

Zuffy, sorry to hear this ***** happen to anyone but its even worse tp hear it happen to a fellow Z owner!

Anyway, it least you're OK.

One good thing might come of it though. You might now be able to get a red one instead!

On a serious note though, it is good to hear you're OK
As always

ROFLMAO!

As long as the door handles come out in chrome i'm sticking to silver.

I spoke to the guy last night since i forgot to write down his rego.. (DOH!). He lived up the road from me so i went and had a drink at his place and got it. Nice fellow, it was just a bad mistake by him. KInda triggered by a red car i had no idea about.

Long story but it was more than he just didn't see me.... why he didn't tell me that on the spot?!?

Anyway...i was thanking God that my wife and I didn't become roadkill. I was in no mood to be angry!

I'm taking the car down to my regular panelbeater now.....he'll cry, he loves my car!

Default insurance - exhaust?

Sorry to hear about that Zuffy, I guess that's the end to the track day next week. I just got my hi tech fitted yesterday in time for a sprint next tuesday...

I was wondering what happens with insurance re mods? does your $1760 exhaust get replaced or are you up the wall for another one once the rest of the car is repaired?

with re to more power from the hi tech, I dunno, the exhaust sounds great but the *** dyno is not convinced as yet, seems like it lost power initially but this is prob due to it running rich etc with the new system. I'll have to take it on my regular dawn 'run' through the Blue Mountains to know if there is any more power there.

I didn't tell the wife yet... even though she has the car on a field trip to newcastle today ... LOL!

Sorry about to hear about your car zuff, but the rest of you guys can still go to the track day ... it's an 'open' day so anyone is welcome.

Looks like I might still make it in a WRX Sti!

I'll confirm on Monday night but all bets are still on.

Leeblue- you need to advise your insurance asap, it's only an exhaust and most insurance companies won't charge you a premium for it. They can void all of your insurance if you don't tell them though, so ring asap.

Yes, my insurance knows about the new exhaust but I meant if your aftermarket exhaust is damaged in an accident is it replaced as part of the quotation or do they replace it with an original one & thus you than have to get a new hi tech fitted?

If it is damaged it is insured...the Hi-tech is fine though... can't say as much about the body though.

Leeblue - if you dyno the car and you don't get good gains take to back to hi-tech and see if they can do something for you. Everyone has made good gains with it. It's all top end though, ie 5500rpm+.
