350Z's suspension is too hard?!
Hey guys, I'm just after some input from you in regards to the 350Z suspension tuning. I've now been driving my 350Z for 10 days and I'm amazed at how compliant and well riding the suspension is. It's incredibly compliant over bumps and it seem to absorb most road imperfection. Sometimes I think that this can't be good as it's at cost of ultimate limits/handling (but am hoping to be proven wrong).
Now, I know that a lot of people (including some of you) think that the 350Z suspension setup is too hard. I'm wondering why you think that and what cars are you coming from or comparing it to?

I don't think the problem is related to just the rebound but it is one of the more obvious issues.
Basically the shock doesn't control the spring well. One of the most obvious (and the most complained about on this forum) is the bounce. I've only really noticed it on certain roads but essentially it's a slight oscilation where the spring compresses, unloads, compresses, unloads etc. The shock shouldn't allow this.

We have the same problem in the US. Hopefully Koni's SA Sport Yellow shocks should fix the problem. They are due early spring '04. BJ aka dwnshift is already testing a set on his street Track with stock springs and wheels. Check out the thread under the Suspension forum.
