350Z Beats RX-8, M3 CSL in Dec CAR PCOTY
Get a copy December's Car mag for their PCOTY awards for 2003, the Zed does dam good in some pretty high class company, the Vauxall VX220 Tubro came in first followed by :-
2nd Mitsubishi Evo VIII FQ-300
3rd Ferrari 360
4th Porsche 911 GT3
5Th Nissan 350Z
6Th BMW Z4
7th Volkswagan Golf R32
8th Madza RX-8
9th BMW M3 CSL
10th Mini Cooper S Works
IMHO this mag does a better comparision than the Aussie mags.

hehehe nah those RX8's arent too bad..
i just bought a Zed after testdriving an RX8, Merc SLK230, Audi S3 and TT and id say it was Z, then S3, then the RX8 very closely behind, then about Oprah's *** width behind that is the SLK ... in my opinion of course hehe

I found out today a mate of mine has ordered a "winning" blue rx8. Cant wait for the fun!!!
I hope you're going to do sime 350Z vs RX8 comparisions ... I'd love to read all about it.
They're not my "cup of cha" but I still dont mind the look of them.
They handle really nicely and are a lot more refined that I thought they would. As a WRX/STi alternative, I think it's a really good car. Not a sport-car, but a sports-sedan IMHO.

The Evo is just a Lancer with a bolted-on turbo....on a different engine, and a new driveline...and new suspension.....
I am tempted to trade the Z in for one. It's faster, it'll respond better to bolt-on modifications, and more practical.
Still, I just like the way the Z feels when I sit in it and drive it.

And it looks like a Lancer!
No comparo imho... not unless you spend every weekend at the track! I think the Evo is the kind of choice you make when you need 4 doors and the WRX Sti is the only thing worth looking at.

The Rx8 isn't much of anything... not quite 4 seats, lack of power, handles great until you get some real Gs into the corner.
IMHO it wins the 2004 prize for compromises.

I'll get proof to back myself up about the magazine articles. Lack of power but still manages to stick up with you 287 HP engine and 274lbs of torque? Doesn’t say much about your car then. I'll be back with a bunch of proof from magazines stating that the Mazda RX8 is a better car! Oh by the way a real sports car has many sport attributes, not just straight line!!!.

This guy obviously doesn't realise he is on the Oz forum and we get totally different magazines to him!
We have Kilowatts down here is well.
Perhaps it would be adviseable to go troll the main forum!!
As always
