Default Motor - 350Z 'long termer'

In the latest issue of Motor they have an article on their new 'long termer' - it is is 350Z Track. They are asking for people with 350Z to write to them (mail or e-mail) and let them know what 'we' would like to see the 350Z compared against, or featured in. Not only that, but also what their experieces with the Zed are. So, here's your opportunity to read about what you/we ask for so it would be good to e-mail them at motor@acp.com.au with your ideas.

I'm sure to send them an e-mail or two and so far here are my ideas ... let me know if any of them are of interest to anoyne else:

Comparisions:
- 350Z vs R32 vs Crossfire vs TT 3.2 (ie. V6 sports cars)
- 350Z vs 911 (ie. is the 350Z a 911 on a budget?)
- 350Z vs EVO VIII (ie. performance for $65k)

Features:
- John Bowe high-perfromance course at Winton (ie. go to one of those and write about the experience/car)
- Handling olympics (ie. get 8 or so 'performance' cars and put them thought some measured handling exercises ie. cone dorging).
- Top-speed shootout (ie. take 8 or so 'performance' cars, go to Avalon and do some top-speed runs).
- Use the 350Z in the next tyre test (that way we'll see what are the good tyres for the Zed).

That's a good idea. But i'm not keen against the 911 Maybe against the EVO VIII would be good as well, but can we add STI and RX8 in the comparo as well?

Is this our chance to email them about the problems we have with Nissan? Should we send that letter to Nissan first?

They did also askfor owners experiences, whether good or bad. So I'd say sure, let them know the problems you've been having.

someone give them a reference to our letter of complaint. Maybe they will champion our cause.

What happened with that letter anyway?

I haven't had the time to do anything about it.

Every time it looks like things are going to drop off a bit either new work shows up or a client decides to change something. I've had one in particular that we've gotten to a 90% complete stage four time and then they decide to scrap everything and start again. They're paying for it so can't complain too much but I really need a break. I'm at a point where my sleep patterns are becoming a bit random and my eyes are sore half the day so things have to change.

If anyone wants to write even a draft I'm sure everyone here will be able to contribute to refining it.

I've sent them a letter, which was rather long (I can post it here if you want). They said they'd use bits of it.

I didn't provide suggestions for what they should run it up against, but the tyre comparo would be an excellent idea.
