Z Hitch Prototype
::knock, knock::
Hello? Anyone home?
roark, where are you? You've got customers!
I've sent a PM. If anyone sees roark or has his e-mail address, could you ask him to stop by and get in touch with us?
Thanks.

I didn't mean to drop off the face of the earth, I've just been monsterously busy between work and my car club duties. Now that the holidays are here, I'm getting caught up on the forums.
With the recent flury of inquiries regarding the hitch kits, I'll start a GB on this site right after the new year. That way I can get kits out the door in plenty of time for the spring track season (VIR full course Feb. 11-12 for me!)
Happy Holidays,
Jim

If Jim doesn't set up another group buy, you can have mine James... I left you a v/m awhile back, but didn't hear back from you. I just need to get off my lazy butt and remove the rear bumper to take off the bumper assembly w/ hitch to swap it...
I am considering a similar setup, but for dirtbike hauling rather than tires...I gave up my truck for the Z, and now it is my only vehicle. I desperately need a way to haul my bike around instead of always relying on others, but I don't want to mess up my Z. Would this setup work for me? Just looking to haul one bike. Is there another group buy coming up?

Ditto! I need a way to haul a bicycle. Any ideas guys?
Looking for a way to attach a bike rack? Here's the 1-1/4" draw bar option.
In order to do a group buy now, I have to become a premier member. hmm, I'm not sure that there's enough interest to make a GB happen, and if not, I'm out the cost of a premier membership. Ah, what the hell, I paid up. Here's the link to the new GB.

I hope you didn't pay just for me! I am not completely sure this is the way I want to go, I just wanted to learn more first! Is it really completely hidden when removed? Would any aftermarket exhausts cause a problem?

I seriously doubt that you'd have any problem with any kind of exhaust system, since the hitch is centered and outside of the unibody (mounted to the actual bumper).
I really like mine! Thanks again, Roark!

The stock and NISMO exhausts are the only ones that come close to the downtube that I know of. Any true-dual or twin muffler designs will have no issues either.

One more question - who do you think would be a good type of shop to install something like this? I would need nothing less than perfection, as I am extremely ****. I am likely to install a Top Speed or Stillen Exhaust at the same time .... a pic from underneath would be great...

HA HA HA - if only you knew who you were dealing with. I am a complete putz when it comes to stuff like this, and this is something I wouldn't even think of attempting. I am about to have my audio installer fix where I tried to mount a flashlight in my hatch - I couldn't even do that right. I have to just stick to driving.

I would recommend a reputable body shop for a professional install. A muffler shop could do it too, but may not be as careful with the bumper cover removal.
If you want a copy of the install instructions to take to a shop for estimates, let me know and I'll e-mail them to you.
