I had a blast driving it.
I received a severly sprained thumb when we did our pit stop. I put my habd up on the wall and when the fueler and I went over he kicked my thumb out and I felt it touch somewhere up and the back of my hand. When I got in the car and reached for my belts...it hit me. The ligamnest between my index finger and thumb are all torn is what the doc said. One of the sponsors on the Mustang was there and jsut happened to be an orthopedic surgeon so I had instant diagnopsis.
I ran the 24 race with my thumb all taped up.
The mustang was running great until the ABS went out going into the first horseshoe.....then I got caught in the tire wall. The Ford guys later revealed that they have had this problem befer but dont have a fix yet..........yeah we better work on that.
The reason we pitted so early was that the shift rod actually broke.....I did the remainder of the race with 2nd, 4th and 6th gears....then the shifter instelf broke and I finished the last 4 laps in 4th gear.
