Hey everyone,

I found two upcoming trackdays at Gingerman. The first, on April 3rd, is with the Chicago Volkswaen club http://www.chicagovw.org/ Registration is open but I don't know the cost. The other is April 10th with the Michigan Volkswagen club http://www.michiganvw.org Registration opens for non-VWs opens on March 1st. It costs $115 for the day. Anyone else interested?

 

Mike, thanks for the news of a couple events I had not heard of.

What is odd though is that Speedtrials has 4/10 as their date at Gingerman. Also, I couldn't find the info on their site. Maybe I'm stupid.

I see speedtrialusa has switched their tentative April date to Saturday the 9th.

 

I'm interested in at least one of the dates. I want to get back to the track again soon...

Mike have you ever run with either VW club? Probably not, but I'm curious about # of run groups and typical turnout.

 

I haven't run with either VW club yet. I met one of the more active Michigan VW club members at a Lotus track day at grattan last year. I'm pretty sure instruction will be minimal (if there is any) and I know the 4/3 date is limited to 50 cars. Split into three run groups, it shouldn't be too crowded.

The info for the CVO day is under the events section. The MIVE day is under forums and then the track day has its own forum. All of the info. is in the first post.

 

I just been to a meet of West Michigan Solo club, and we are planning two(!) autoxes at Grattan this year (Grand Rapids, MI area). Memeorial day and Labor day weekends. Probably full course this year. It was a huge success last year. Hope more Zs can come
