speed bleeders?

Default speed bleeders?

I posted this in wheels tires, etc but i figured i would post here too. Anyone running speed bleeders? I see they come in specific sizes. What do i need? I have brembos.

A post on another forum said that the brembos have speed bleeders. Looks like i am good to go.

The Brembos DO NOT have Speedbleeders. Speedbleeders are a good idea, but they tend to leak fairly quickly and become unuseable once the 'goo' wears away from the threads.

If you bleed your brakes fairly regularly ... the thread sealant will wear out just like the oem bleeder valves. Just apply some more sealant and you're good to go.

I just replied to your other post. For some reason I was never able to get a good bleed out of my stoptechs with the speedbleeders. I ended up taking them out. They worked great on my previous car. I wraped some teflon tape on them and that kept them sealed for approx 50 or so bleeds over the course of 2 years.

Generally when I see someone speed bleeding, I apply direct pressure, get a bandage, and call an ambulance. Remember, tourniquets are a last resort; life or limb. Pressure on the appropriate artery will take care of it.

BREMBO:
p/n SB1010S
# 10mm x 1
# 31.35mm length

350Z Non-Brembo:
(requires (1) Pair of SB1010 & (1) Pair of SB7100)
The Non-brembo calipers are Nissan front and Mitsubishi rear calipers and have different size bleeders front to rear..
