I may make it out to BWillow on the 26th. It would be fun to see how many FI Z's I can embarass in my slow NA Z.

Aug Open Track in Fontana is full, but...the speed ventures web site for the 26th at Buttonwillow still says registration is open.

I don't mind getting beat by an NA Z...lol At least it's a Z.

Yep...Aug. 26 is Speedventures at BWillow: http://www.speedventures.com/8-26-2005_event.asp

They still have openings for that day. I'm going to try and make it out there.

I was just playing around about beating anyone. On Streets of Willow, handling is king since it's so tight and twisty. Buttonwillow is much faster though, with some longer straights. I doubt I could overcome a couple hundred horsepower deficit. It should be interesting to compare times if I make it out.

As for other cars, Speedventures always has some very fast attendees. There will be at least a few S2000's, Evos, and vettes that will run circles around the Z's out there...I have no doubt.

I always felt the SpeedTrial crowd was much faster then the SpeedVentures group. Anyway, S2k evos and C5/6's do not excel more then a well driven Z/G in my experience. Even my auto track car can keep up with evo's and sti's, or be faster with good driving. I very much enjoy chasing em down through Taladega (at buttonwillow).

And, I would bring my auto track car to embaress some FI guys, but well... my tires are dead.
