Default Mid Ohio driving school

I just signed up for my first driving school. NASA at Mid Ohio on August 5th. I am in the novice class. Are there any other Z's attending? Check out http://www.nasaproracing.com/ for more info or for event registration

Is this an auto X training day? If so what is the cost, and time on aug 5th, I might be interested in attending.

Not an autoX, a full track driving school. Meaning go as fast as you feel comfortable on the 2.4 mile road course. This is put on by NASA, they rent the track and host the school. Depending on your experience you can have an instructor full time or be released to drive solo. Check out the website for more info and also the Mid Ohio link.

Just some advice that you already may have heard or know, to make the school much more enjoyable, get some dedicated track pads. If you don't have the track model, the selection is slim. If you do, something like Hawk Blue or Cobalt SpecB should do the trick. Bed them well before going on your first session. I've been racing and instructing for 5 years and have seen more problems with novices who don't have adequate brakes. Swapping out the stock brake fluid to a more performance oriented one such as Super Blue or Motul will help as well.

Thanks for the tips, but I am already there. I know from riding in several on-track cars that brakes are HIGHLY under rated as a modification. Thanks again.
