I think i'm pretty much set on Cusco at this point. Does anyone know of any issues/problems with this setup? Where can I get the best prices on a set?
There is one issue with the Cusco that I know of and that involves the addition of stiff springs. The Cusco bar is a monster in the rear. It works very well with the stock springs, but if you decide to upgrade or if you already have upgraded to significantly stiffer springs you will have too much stiffness in the rear. One of our local tracksters, recently installed the Koni/Truechoice suspension in addition to his Cusco bar and transfered to much roll stiffness to the front I believe. He took them off. Maybe he will chime in here. The member is EnthuZ. So if you're going to stick with near stock springs, then the Cusco is good. If not, you may find yourself with too much stiffness in the rear. Your mileage may vary.
Is there any performance benefit to using the collars? I have a set of the Hotchkis bars on the way, although I'm not sure there's any point in installing them if I need the collars. That, and I'm still running stock tires. (Managed to place 5th in the Stock SCCA Solo-II this week though. Damn those Miatas.)
