Default Road Course rental Florida?

Does anyone on here organize any road course renting?I'm interested in getting together with some 350Z enthusiast for a fun day at a road course.I have never looked into renting a track but thought it would be a great way to spend a day with fellow 350Z guy's!I heard of a Gainesville road course to rent and the price was up to 20 cars 1/2 day like $800 full day around $1300.I think it is this track here.http://www.gainesvilleraceway.com/ap...1912&print=yes
If anyone here in Florida or Georgia is interested in a gathering like this please post up cause I really do not see any reason why this could not happen.
Eric

If you can rent it for $1300, go for it... just try not to crunch anything up

I think you'll find its gonna cost you a lot more than that though. That probably does not include fire/rescue, corner workers, insurance, etc. etc.

I recommend not re-inventing the wheel and find a NASA or Chin Motorsports event in your area and sign up with a bunch of your friends... I know the thought of 20 cars renting a track for $65 each sounds great, but you'll find out soon enough its not that easy.

Like I said I heard this I have not researched it yet.But if what you say is true about the difficulty of renting a track,if its just more money I can handle that.I have done track events with Chin and I'm a member with Safe(I think My membership needs renewed)but I was wanting to get together with 350z enthusiast not 60+ cars from a Miata to a full blown race car.My friend and his Corvette Club rented this track I'm talking about last year sometime so I know it not some huge deal to rent this place.I'll have to make some phone calls and find out.I appreciate the interest though

Sorry... didn't mean to come off like I was trying to burst your bubble... if its a 'test facility' and set up so its more like an AutoCross, then I can see it happening... but if its more like a true road course, I find it hard to believe you can have more than 5 or 10 cars without having to have corner workers, fire/rescue, and insurance (another $1000 to $1500).

I realize you're not out there trying to rent Sebring or Daytona or something... so its probably a lot more reasonable than what I'm used to. I hope you can do it...

BTW... what is SAFE?

I just got off the phone with them at Gainesville. It is $2000.00 full day up to 20 cars which includes EMT and insurance.I was not correct on the price but $100.00 dollars a head for a track day and we can set it up how we would like but setup of track would need approved .Man I hope we can get something like this going.
Stack its Safe Motorsports,it's a club like Chin but you need previous on track experience.

Sounds pretty good... is that for a weekday or a weekend day? And is there a limit of how many cars on track at one time?

More out of curiosity than anything else at this point

That was partly my point in one of my previous posts... somewhere like Sebring or Homestead is gonna end up costing three or four times as much, especially on a weekend day IF you can secure a date. During the week at one of those may not be as bad, but still a lot more expensive than $2k a day.

BTW beddow... I checked out the SAFE website... looks like a quality group

chimmike sebring would be outragous like Stack said.To do a track like that you would need to go with a big group better organized like Chin or Safe for example. This is a road course not an autocross.mpowers I'm having a hard time disecting your post what are you meaning?I know this might not be a desired track of choice but for the money with the right amount of people it would be great fun within the 350Z community hangin out and pushin the cars through the corners. Is anyone interested in renting this track out with me for a full day?If so please post up and lets make it happen. This price is for a Saturday rental.
Eric

Hi Guys

I am a friend of Beddows and have run this track. This track is no Sebring but for the money its a really good time for a really good deal. I would even think about driving the six hours down just to do it with you guys.

The track can be made into a really tight autox coarse or a really nice road coarse with some pretty decent straits.

The scary part is there would be no instructors for the first timers, which could get into trouble. The good part is there would be not instructors to keep you from getting in trouble. The track does have plenty of run off just in case you do go in to hot and go off though, which I did.

Thanks
Bud
