Default Camber adjustment

How are you guys adjusting for neg camber in the front of the car. Is there an alternate bolt available from Nissan to adjust the upper control arm? In stock form it seems there's no available adjustment.

This is the one thing that keeps the Z from murdering the old M3's and RX8's in BS....no neg front camber.

That's correct- there is only a limited amount of front camber adjustment designed into the Z33. There are a wide variety of adjustable upper A-arms available on the aftermarket, however.

M3 "murdering" is already occurring.

Most RX-8s don't know it yet, but they are going to be "toast" very soon now...

Adjustable A-arms aren't allow in a stock class though (I'm pretty sure).. That's what raised my question, as I'm trying to fit 275-40/17s on my car as I've read most drivers are using and the tire sticks out past the body. Just wondering how all the guys running in BS are running 275s up front no problems.

Just means I can run 275 on the rear and only 255 on the front (or at least I'm thinking 255 should fit in the wells). Oh well, like you say, it's not the worst problem to have.

You could run a spacer, not sure how much room you'll need inside though. For SCCA competition the spacer can't be more than 1/4" +/- the stock offset.

Spacer are going to push the wheels out even further though? Not sure how that's going to bring the tire in.
I'm running a 24mm offset at the moment with a 17x9 wheel (in Canada we're allowed to change wheel size due to our prep point rules), the wheel is in side the well, but the tire bulges outside allowing tread to be seen extending outside the wheel well. Being new to 350s I hadn't discovered the lack of camber adjustment on the front untill now. =P

I didnt realize you were trying to keep the tires inside the fender, I though you were worried about clearance issues on the inside.

Yeah, the 275s clear, just, without spacers.

Only .131 off off Joe's time in SD -- without the cones on my fastest runs -- and with the brand new Hoosiers "giving up" on me (and Stephen)...

(and did I mention that there were at least three big sweepers in the courses -- something that the RX-8 excels at?)

I left at least 0.1 on the course on Saturday, and 0.2 on Sunday (big screwups right where I should have been getting on the gas).

Hey Glenn....that is a good report.I had not analyzed the cone effects at SD.
We had same problems with S05's last year....lets hope the A6 is a real tire.

I kind of wished I still had decent S04s -- they were significantly better at not overheating, but I still ran the shoulders off of them.

I also need to get my car down to Fordahl's and get a real alignment! Joe and Jason were giving me a hard time about that...
