T2 is a class for our cars for club racing on tracks like VIR, ATL Motor Speedway, and Willow springs. This is wheel to wheel racing the info below is from there website. Check it out for more info:

T2 compared to your BSP car is first taking off everything you list in your sig and putting it back to stock, then spend another $20k, voila you have a T2 car!

If you have specific questions about the rules just go to SCCA's website and download the T2 rulebook. If you have any questions after that, any of us T2 guys on the board (Myself, JasonH, Bob/Rob Hines) will be happy to answer them.

One question I have - I am working on getting my NASA licences, can I use this to race at SCCA club racing events? Right now for SCCA - I just go to there SoloII events.

NASA recognises the SCCA licence. But I'm not sure the reverse is true. Ask SCCA

SCCA does NOT recognize any licence except their own. However if you are experienced enough you can get a waiver, but that is very rare. You can also do one school if you are good enough. Some regions schools are a lot easier than others. But yolu will learn a lot more at a tough school, like Washington DC region where the standards are very high and the instructors are mostly regional and national champions.

Bob, you happen to know when the next DC region school is? Is Rob still instructing these schools?

Default Washington DC racing school

The next official school is usually end of October at Summit Point. They run two schools a year, another in March. Rob tries to instruct every school when his busy work schedule allows. The next closest SCCA school is 20 - 21 May at Nelson Ledges which is a very fast track and one you dont want to go off the pavement. Lime Rock middle of June, the Glen 3rd week in September and then Summit in October.

Thanks for the help with the engine install thursday night. If you want to get a peek at Nelson Ledges come with us on the 27 - 28 May weekend. There will be a saturday night dinner at a friends house not far away. Good food and hospitality. bob

John - If you are planning to run the october school, I'll make sure that I'm there to instruct.

Thanks for all of the help w/ the harness on Thursday. Hopefully I'll be able to get things mostly buttoned up and back on the ground today. Sounds like you had some fun on Saturday - Hopefully your head didn't hurt too much on Sunday morning. :-)

-Rob
