PFC race pads on a daily driven 350z?
I'm wondering how functional will PFC race pads 01 compound on a daily driven street car, I'm guessing not very good but don't have a lot of experience on this.
I have a set almost new with some extra Brembo Brakes in the classified section and was wondering how functional will these be if I used them in my street car?
Any track racers need them, PM me as I might just separate them for cheap.

They are really for track only. Since you won't get them hot enough during normal driving, they will squeak, dust more, and be rough on your rotors. That being said, if you don't have the money right now, they are about as quiet and cold stop friendly as race pads get.
You are much better off selling them and buying something like the Hawk HPS pads.
I might be interested if you sell them, depending how much of the pads are left.

Soundeffects: I'm a bit confused by your comments. You have brakes for sale, or you're thinking of buying a set of brakes of the Classifieds? Or are the PFCs in the Classifieds?
I'm lazy, so I run race pads on the street. Yes, the PFCs aren't as effective as street pads in normal traffic when cold, but they are still very streetable. It doesn't take much to get enough heat in them to give them bite - so that safety aspect isn't a concern. I've run Cobalt VRs and Carbotech XP10s and XP11s on teh street, and the VRs and PFCs are MUCH more streetable than the Carbotechs.
As Sean (bigdaddy) stated, the race pads will dust a ton on the street and wear faster. Rotors will wear faster, but the PFCs fair much better in this regard compared to their Hawk counterparts (HT10s or 14s) and the Carbotechs.
Hope this helps.

There's a reason why brake manurfacturers don't recommend race pads for the street. As John and Big Daddy have said, you COULD use your PFC pads on the street, but they will EAT your rotors alive. They are extremely abrasive and will quickly wear down your pricey Brembo rotors when cold. Another factor to consider is the brake dust off a race pad can be very hard on the finish of your expensive wheels. Race cars usually get their wheels cleaned every day, or possibly, every session.

I was just wondering how they would run on the street, so from what you told me if I went to the track enough it would be ok. They are for sale with a complete front Brembo setup and unless someone wants them separately I'll just leave them.
I had a set of PFC 01 pads on my Impreza RS once. I drove them every day.
They completely destroyed my brand new rotors in less than 4k miles.
That was from spirited driving in the hills, with a 165hp car.
I don't know what they would do to brakes of a 300hp car...

As long as you are willing to put up with the problems other have listed here... I once ran Hawk Blues on a street car. Just got in the habit of riding the brakes for about a 1/4 mile when I started out to get some heat into the pads.
