Default My 350Z Hitch is now available!

Well, it's not really "mine", but the company who developed the hitch I use on my car is now selling them to other folks.

http://www.tuxedoparkracing.com/350zhitch.html

If you've got any questions please feel free to ask, I'll try to answer any that I can.

I've towed my 6x8 trailer with this for well over a year now. Even hauled THREE sets of wheels/tires down to Walnut Ridge Arkansas earlier this year. I generally take two sets, tools, chair, cooler, bike, etc on the 6x8. I've hauled some weight with this thing.

We've even taken the time to remove the hitch for events, though most of the time I just leave it on the car and run with the extra weight in the back.

Based on that picture, the car doesn't have a muffler. Does it fit over the stock muffler or must it be removed?

Yes, I had it on there with the stock muffler. It sits right up against the muffler on an 03, though I never had any problems with it making any noise against the muffler.

Actually, I have a nice shiny NISMO muffler and I wouldn't want anything rubbing up against it that would scratch or dent it.

I have a nice, shiny HKS dual that would allow a perfect fit...

Is your car a show car, or a race car?

I don't know what the rating would be, but I know I've put way too much weight on it before I'd be willing to bet well over 200lbs.

I'll try to take a pic of mine this evening to show you guys how it looks from the back.

Just curious what you guys are towing. I'd rent a $19.99 per day truck before thinking of putting that on my Z.

What are we towing? Race tires. Why? Cause it's cheaper/better gas mileage, towing with the Z than with something else. Though, I'm looking to get a Tahoe next.

Stay away form the Tahoe! I had one to pull my Z, while it did ok (350 engine) no where near as stable as just a plain 1500 series truck.
1200lb open trailer + Z + 99 Tahoe = soso safety.

I've got an 04 F350 to tow with. The tahoe will be mainly for daily driving, towing when absolutely necessary, meaning Natalie is at a horse show towing her trailer.

So the hitch only uses 4 bolts to stay in place? It looks like the front is wedged to stay up and laterally stable.

A regular 1 foot tongue can be used w/o the ball coming too close to the bumper?

The hitch bolts in two places at the diff mount, then 4 holes in the bumper for two ubolts.

I'll try to take a pic of everything on my car this weekend so you guys can see the tongue/ball I use.

Hey Buddy i'm really interested.

Do you think i could tow a 4X8 to 5X8 with ease with a 350lb bike like an R6? And if it is what's the max you would advise pulling? & what's the max as actual weight?

You'll have to contact Steven at Tuxedo Park, I'm not actually selling them.
