Default Tracking 5AT

Guys do you track you AT cars? If so do you leave in in auto or do the manual shifting using manumatic?
I am very interested in any experiences of how does auto handle track.
Thanks.

Same here, I'm on auto initially and switch to manual once you get used to it. Make sure to turn off the TCS though when you're on the track.

Many people track Autos. It allows them to concentrait on the line and braking points. After a while though, many will switch to a manual

Thanks guys. I am encouraged.
Just one more thing - I believe tracking an AT is much more stressfull on the brakes, unless you are in manumatic mode?

I've tracked my auto and use the manual mode, starting in first and once in 2nd I basically leave it there. As for being more stress on brakes, I don't hink so, manual or auto you can downshift to slow you down but if you're hitting your brakes you wanting to stop quicker than engine braking will provide.

Not really, most of the stopping power is by the brakes with either choice, and with the AT you don't need to woory about sudden shifts of threashold braking then releasing the clutch, making the rear squirly. (Which T/H and rev matching will fix)
