Default New V710 sizes for next year?

Anybody hear any details on whether Kumho's coming out with some new sizes of the V710 next year.

A local club member heard that this is the case for bigger rims... can anyone confirm 350Z-friendly sizes?

245/35/18 is just too small... I need the top speed to avoid having to shift into 3rd.

285/35/18... ha ha ha... I'm still trying to find someone who'll even try fitting these on my stock 8 & 8.5 rims before I buy.

Are you talking about bigger in terms of diameter (19") or width? 285 is pretty wide already, the recommended wheel width is 9½" to 10½" so that should easily fit the widest wheels you'd put on a Z.

The V710 is available in 315 but you can't fit something that wide on the Z.

Yeah but it looks like it's some pretty specific conditions that it fits in.

285/35/18... ha ha ha...
Been there and it's not easy but once you do bead them the trouble is worth it. Put 285's on all four 8x18" wheels and push isn't much of a problem anymore. Clearance in the front is a finger width. Now I have to work on the driver. I ended up mid pack at Topeka because I wasn't aggressive enough the second day.

BTW, 285/30/18 is the size.

Hoosiers or Kumho???

I have heard that the Kumho's are a stone cold biach to mount.. (but easier once they have been mounted and dismounted once.)

I have a set of 285s from Hoosier going on the stock Track rims next week.

hoosiers are pretty easy to mount. i talked to a fellow rx8 driver and it only took him about an hour to mount his 285s onto 8s.

My bad... I'm told that Kumho is considering more sizes for 18" rims...

On a previous thread I heard that 285 A6s will fit with a 5mm spacer up front... fitting is one thing, but do you guys get any rubbing at the track?

I'd just be happy with 275s all around...

They are, there was a Viper at natls on the new 345-18.

Keep in mind most all tires sizes are built for road racing needs, we are just a by product as most road racers use the amount of tires in one weekend we use all year. If/when a car needs a 265 they may build one. They had plans for a number of new sizes but I think the ALMS stuff used most of the time/money last year.
