I've have 17x9 fn01rc's with 275 hoosiers +35 and a 3mm spacer. I've also have 17x9.5 ProRacer GN's +38 and a 3mm spacer with 275 falken's/kuhmos. The FN's are considerably lighter so I would take those over the GN's given the choice plus they are only $199 at SPL with cheap shipping. I'd suggest the hyperblack finish as it's the easiest to clean if you decide to go with FN's.

I run the +35 and the 3mm spacer as I originally bought these for my z32. I have plenty of fender clearance so I would venture to guess that if you're running more than stock camber you should be able fit the +15's on there no problem. This will help widen your track also as I find my +35's are tucked way too far in the fenderwells. For reference I run -3 front and -2 degrees rear camber.

I'm (possibly naively) hoping the -3 camber up front would make it work. I might order one to just test fit first.

Otherwise, the 35 offset with spacers will be required.

Below is a link to a guy who claims to be running 18x10.5 with +15 offset. Also mentioned is the XS engineering track car which runs 285/30/18 all around with TE37 18x10.5 +22.

We test fit some 17x10 fn's with 275/40 Toyo ra1's on my car and the +25 and +35 fit on the rear but only the +25 fit up front.

Good info!

What kind of camber were you running up front to make the +25 offset fit?

If you don't mind me asking, if the 17x10 +25 fit front and rear, then why did you end up running a more narrow 17x9 fn01rc as posted above instead?

Camber is -3 front and -2 rear.

I already owned the 17x9 fn's before I bought my 350z. I bought them originally as track wheels for my z32. Now I can use them on both cars. Z32's don't have nearly as much fender clearance and usually need to run higher offset wheels to get proper fitment.

Does anyone know if the 17" SSR Comp H will fit around the Brembos on a Track model? I wouldn't mind moving down to 17" and saving a bit on tires.

I'm really temped by those, I have mixed feelings running the 265's I have now on 8" wide rims.

They do come with center caps, correct?

while i can't say i've seen them on a z, daveh i believe is running them with his stoptech's. from all accounts, the stoptech 13" kit is larger in every dimension than the track model brembos. so while i can't definitively say they'll fit, i find it hard to believe they won't.

actually, i'm not sure where you are in maryland, but if you'd like to make a trip to NoVA, we can pull one of your fronts off and mount one of mine up to see if it will fit. i'm not sure if daveh is running any spacers, but i've ordered a set of 5mm H&R - i believe they are needed to clear the 13" stoptech's. hopefully dave can comment on thier necessity.

they do, and they appear to be metal. however...i only pulled one out of the bag, and it is obviously bent, ie not round. i tried half heartedly for about 10 seconds to get it on the wheel, but gave up. frankly, i don't think i'll bother with them. just more unsprung weight for me, these are strictly track wheels.

i'll check the other three tomorrow and see what the deal is. if i really want to, i'm sure i could get the bent one straightened out enough to fit. if all four - well, any more - are bent, i'll be annoyed even without planning to use them. i'll let you know,

one more thing... you gotta love tirerack. centercaps, sure - they should come with the wheels. but a complete set of lugs? a socket for the lugs? metal hubcentric rings included? all included with the wheels. and shipping? 4 x 17# wheels? ~$30 total. its just a shame they don't carry the RA-1 or I would have ordered a shaved set with the wheels.

The caps are also only held in by an O ring... Leave them off for racing.

My center caps fall off under the heat generated at the track. Best to leave em off. I did put the cool ssr stickers on though..

Thanks for the offer, amo. I live in Columbia, and may take you up on it, but probably not for a week or two: a wheel hub broke at the track yesterday, so I'll need some work on the front suspension before I can drive anywhere. (But by then, Tire Rack will have probably sold out all those wheels! D'oh!)

I run a spacer just to get some more clearance with my 275's, not because of any brake clearance issues.

Is amolaver right that you're using the 17s on a brake kit that's larger than my Brembos?, daveh?

Yup, I've got a base model Z with stoptech's 13" kit up front. I convinced tirerack a couple years ago to sell me 4 rear (9.5") wheels. The only thing you will need to run a 275" up front is a quality 5mm spacer from H&R or eibach.

Just a few more options:

Enkei RPF1's 17x9.5 +18 all around (in stock for cheap at a local shop, PM me if interested)

Enkei RPF1's 17x9 +22 all around (also in stock)

I run Weds Sport TC-05's in 17x9 +20 all around with 15mm spacer up front and 20mm spacer out back. good fit with low car ~2 deg front and 2.5 deg rear.

Thanks for the tip on these Comp H's, amolaver. I just got my five. Yes, five. Since they're being discontinued, I got a spare, just in case. At this price, why not?

Anyone want to buy a set of the lightweight stock Track wheels? I've got two sets, and will probably get rid of one cheap.
