Default AutoX video - 12/03 @ VMP

Here's a video of the NASA event @ VMP this past weekend. It was cold and cloudy, and it was getting dark when I made the run. Course was crazy fast, rev limiter a few times, and 3rd gear in the offsets. I was trying desperately to break into the 52 second range, this was the closest I got, and you can hear the gesture of frustration at the end of the run.

VMP is not a bad lot. A few bumps, slippery in spots. It's an odd shape, very
long (1700'+) and anywhere from 150' to 400' wide. One of the reasons for
such a fast course is the club did not have all that many cones, makes it
difficult to build a course to keep the speeds down to the rulebook regulations.
Yeah, the car sounds pretty kewl. We messed w/ the alignment, tire pressures and such, and got the car to turn pretty well, too.

Yea the course was definitely fast... we were deep into 3rd gear down the back portion of the course.

The video's came out well... I am still looking for ways to superimpose your run on mine so we can see where you are faster than I am...

My Codrive (PDX_racer) used a G-tech pro connected to his laptop to do just that with data collected through the G-tech pro. It superimposes any of the runs you choose on top of each other and you can see where you are faster/slower.

I figured I might share a little movie clip my brother took last summer with my camera.
The course had opened up a bit at the corner where he was working.

Not this event, but the last one I did in September of this yr. I beat 2 out of 3Corvettes.
34 cars raced. I came in 20th. That's misleading, however, as there was only 1 second between 12th place and 20th place. Raced against a Porche 911, several turbo charged WRX's, and others.

The FX is an amazing vehicle! I've done a few modifications.
We also get 300" of snow up here and with a set of Blizzaks, I've pushed through snow up to the Infiniti logo on the grill.

This second video is of a little ride I took out North testing out my new in car camera mount. I'll be using that next summer for autocrossing and when I take her to the track.
