Default Anyone have any 285/18 V710 scrubs

looking for something I can get a couple of runs on for next weeks National tour. Anything with usuable rubber I'd like to buy. If anyone has a pair even, that could possibly work.

I have track wheels also.

How much tread, and how much money?

These are one of our practice tire sets. They probably have 20 runs max left in them. They will not be fast.Kumho 710's start loosing grip at 40-50 runs and these have 90+.I don't want to sell them...would cost more to dismount and mount than they are worth....but I will be glad to bring them to Cecil and you can use them for the Dixie Tour( I assume that is the Tour you are going to) for $60($10per run).
Have you mounted a 285/30 710's on a Track wheel? Costs me $50 per wheel, sometimes more,to get them mounted. They are very very difficult to mount.
We will be leaving for Cecil Friday morning from Cleveland Tn.Just let me know if you need them.

60 bucks sounds great. I'll be working the test and tune on Friday so I'll track you down.

I have 30 run 245's currently and I'm just trying to figure out which one would be faster and I'm thinking worn 285's would be faster than the worn 245's. I suck but I'd at least like to be on somewhat equal playing ground with everybody.
I know its pretty tough to mount the tires but we have a local guy that mounts them. All he mounts are racing tires so he pretty much is used to mounting stuff like this. As long as someone has done it he'll give it a try.

Thanks,
Dustin

Dustin....Your 30 run 245's should be much much faster than my 90 run 285's.At 30 runs your tires should be near optimum grip.
I suggest you go with your 245's unless you find some fresh 285 takeoffs.

Wait..you got 285s on your track 8.5" wheels? I thought those can hold up to 265 (MAYBE 275).

I'm a poor college student!!

Hopefully I'll have a job soon....

eh, we really need to make a stick thread on here about classification and what tires people can fit on the wheels.

285s can fit on an 8.

275s can fit on a 7.5
