Default Prepared debate

Since I can't find it in the new rule book would the Z go into F or B prepared? Just a question I'm not trying to spark a debate and the actuallity of it being competitive in the class.

Thanks

Man... the rules for Prepared classes are a serious PITA to try and decifer, but from what I've been able to make out it sound like it'll fall into Class B.

However, if you're reffering to Street Prepared, it's class B.

As of 2007 BP is gone, it is still in the rule book because they were printed before the class was pulled from natl comp. Right now the PAC is working on moving a number of small bore EX-BP cars.

So for now it would be in XP.

Hmmm. Well the times at nat'l were comparable. Who's his face rock star guy would have still won pretty handly but he's got a bajillion dollars in that RX-7.

Well that's good. Over the weekend Fred brought his XP Lotus Elise go kart out to our event at Cal Speedway. 315+ horsepower and 1,800 lbs. I did the temporary BUA (Big Ugly ***) wing on it last year before the Nats.

No Doubt the car was a beast. But since you built that wing can I ask what the thought process was? The execution was spot on but the intention to this day still baffles me.

Again not trying to start a debate

The thought process:

Phone rings.... "Betamotorsports, this is John"

Puertas, "Hey John, we want to put a huge wing on Fred's car for the Nats and since you have Steve's A Mod Phantom in the shop, we want to take the rear wing off it and put it on Fred's Elise."

John, "Does Steve know you want to steal his wing?"

Puertas, "I left him a message."

John, "Uhhh, don't the Nats start this week?"

Puertas, "Yeah, think you can do it?"

John, "When can Fed get his car here?"

Puertas, "Tomorrow."

John, "When is it on the trailer to the Nats."

Puertas, "Tomorrow."

John, "Oh, what the hell. Sure, we'll get it done but the A-Mod rear wing is way too big for the rules. I can pull the main element out of the front wing, use the rear wing end plates flipped upside down and reversed, then build a backbone over the engine cover to spread the load, and use a set of rear wing struts from a Saleen Mustang. BTW... you think this will help the car?"

Puertas, "Don't know, this is an experiment."

28 hours later the car was on a trailer to the Nats.
