So, I am on my way home from an autocross, sponsored by the Porsche Club of OC, yesterday. I expected to take my car home in my trailer, but those damn German cars always break and my father-in-law's had to be towed home instead!!

Taking the back roads home, with my Hoosiers on-315's in the rear and 285's up front and trying to keep the TT from full boost....I am sitting at a light and this Toyota Tacoma tries to race me.....YEAH, RIGHT!!! Being Memorial Day weekend there were cops all over the place. Then, at the next light, listening to the radio with my nine months pregnant wife, this guy on a crotch rocket pulls up next to us in a full leather racing suit and starts checking out the car. We acknowledge him, but he doesn't stop staring through his fully tinted visor.

He looks in the car, around the car, back in the car.....we were like WTF??? Then he mumbles something, but with his helmet on we couldn't hear. He lifts his visor, looks me straight in the eye and and says, "This is a RACE CAR?!?!? What the hell are you doing on the road?" The light was changing and all I had time to say was, "The other car broke...." We took off and couldn't stop laughing the rest of the way home!!

Glad you and the preg. wife are doing well.

 

First off, I will try and get some pics up of some of these autocrosses....but I have to get the wife to do it because I am inept when it comes to computers.

Secondly, I am trying to do it is soon as possible, but the funds arent available right now...working on it!

 

Absolutely it is a race car. And one of the sweetest out there with the way you keep it looking. Nice story Bob! Good luck with the new baby.

Speaking of getting pics up, my wife just called and she is coming to pick me up, she was at the doctors and we may be having the baby today so you guys may have to wait.....sorry, I will get them up as soon as I can.

Yeah...Can't even reach my insurance man today cause he and wife are having a baby or something...

Okay guys, it was a false alarm...you know women cant make up their minds. Seriously though I think we will have the baby next week, he is just begging to get out and stretch. I will try and get some pics up of the car for the rest of you guys!
