CG-Lock
Waiting to receive my CG-Lock for track use.
I want to get some feedback from anyone that owns one.
I heard it might rip and scratch the seat belt after a while?
For those who don't know check it out here.

I've been using one for about a year now and haven't seen a problem with it scratching anything. I'm careful to not let it bang into the door panels when taking the seat belt off though.
I like it - easy to adjust, holds as tight as you want, easy to loosen.

my friend was too cheap to buy a cg lock so he got one of those baby seat clips. worked just as good but takes time to get it on. you can also twist the end of your seat belt for less slack.

i use the twist method. i get the belt as tight as I can, grab both straps and slide the seat all the way back. i then twist the hell out of it and slide the seat up further then the orignal setting. never loosens and didn't have to buy anything there is also a ratcheting method for the pass but i don't know how that works.

I've used them for about 1 yr, doing HPDE and auto-x. They do what they are supposed to, and it helps a good bit. Of course, they are nowhere nearly as effective as having proper harnesses.
I can see how it could put extra wear on the belts etc, but mainly if you're not careful with it (like DavesZ mentioned). With proper use, the extra wear should be very minimal.
Also, I have a spare set lying around unused if anyone wants to buy them.

I got mine recently and used it for two track days.
Prior to that I would 1)release the seat back to lower it 2) pull quickly on the shoulder belt to make it engage 3) return the seat back to driving position. With this method, both the lap portion and the shoulder portion of the belt was tight. The one problem I had was in releasing the buckle coming back into the pits. Under tension the buckle is hard to release.
With the CG lock, it only tightens the lap belt not the shoulder belt but there is no problem with releasing the buckle. I also hit the CG lock with my elbow while driving/shifting. Either method is a compromise.

i use it everyday and i've used it on a track day once. it's ok... not the best thing in the world but it does what it's supposed to do.
it does put extra wear/tear on the belt but it's not too noticeable. i had it for a year.
