Default StopTech ST-60 & Enkei 18" RPF1 - Anyone running with this combo?

I've got ST-60 on the front and ST-45 on the rear now. I'm running the stock 19" rims now with absolutely no issue. I want to goto a 18" Enkei 18x8.5 +30 on the front with a 255x45R18 tire and a 18x9.5 +38 on the rear with a 275x45R18 tire.

Anyone have rubbing issues? I'm not dropped
Will the rims fit over the calipers?
Hows that affect VDC? More importantly, how's that affect ABS?
Is there an Enkei Sponsor on this site?

I understand people are going with a 9.5F and 10.5R combo both with a +15 offset. Opinions?

Yes, I'm in a G if you hadn't noticed.

There are Enkei Vendors on the site. I would recommend changing the offsets to the +15's.
+30 and +38 are way to high.

Maybe I looked up the wrong numbers. I thought the stock offset on the coupe is +30 and +33. I'll check again.

19" 5 split spoke (2005+ Coupe optional)
Front: 19"x8" +30mm offset
Rear: 19"x8.5" +33mm offset

Thats what I can find.

Right, but the point is to fill in the gap created by the sunken in, high OEM offset. Thus, you go with the lower offset for a more aggressive look.

These are for racing, hence the autocross/road forum. Be dammed with how it looks. But I still appriciate the input.

My bigest concern is really will they fit the stoptech calipers. On that I need to see if some vendors will confirm.

Well with wider wheels you will have less roll over, a much better tire selection ( 245, 255, 265 or even 275 fronts, 275 to 295 rear) with +15 offsets.

Will they fit over your brakes, look in the BBK pic thread, someone may have your wheels and look in the enkei thread, someone may have your brakes. NT03's have a more conservative offset, fit perfect with no rolling, and fit over your calipers. 9.5 +27 front.

Then you want bigger tires on those wheels or bigger wheels for even larger tires. If you have a sweet deal on what you're posted, I suggest a 255/40/18 or 265/35/18 front tire. As for the rear, I suggest a 275/35/18 or 285/30-35/18. Those 45-series sidewalls are WAY too much for a 255 and 275 tire. Speaking of tires, what kind of tires were you thinking of using?

On the mark! Too big of a diameter, I didn't research the difference but that could play tricks with the electronics.

I'd say the popular 9.5 and 10.5 is probably the way to go but check into the 9.5 +15 for front and rear if you don't like the 10.5 +15 rear.

Yeah, my bad on the 45 profile. Thought that was stock at first. I'll use a 35 or 40 whichever is available.

I think the 9.5F+R may be the best option and it gives me a wide range of tire sizes to work with without to much stretching in either direction. Using a 255F and 275R is still the plan. Would I need to roll the rear fender with the +15 offset? Here's what I'm worried about.

http://www.youtube.com/user/gword256#p/u/5/7GDNssw8UXA I still haven't corrected the alightment from that curb hit.

I've sent some PM's out to people in the Enkei thread but noone has the ST-60/ST-45 BBK combo. Still need to get the warm fuzzy's there. The caliper printout from Stoptech says the ST-45's are slightly taller but the ST-60's are wider.

I've been using RE11's for the past few sets. Before that RE-01R and RE50A. I used Nitto Invo's once and that was a big waste of money. With the 18"s I'll have a better selection of rubber to use. I may start with the Dunlops Star Specs just to save some bucks over the RE11's but I do really like the RE11's and It'll be a hard choice.

Sorry I can't confirm it, but I would imagine the 9.5+15 would fit fine in the rear. I'm personally running a 9.5 +20 and easily have an additional 5mm of fender clearence. Also I was told that the Stop Techs will fit a 9.5 +20 but don't know about the Enkei for sure, but being it has an additional 5mm of clearence it should be fine.

Is there a specific reason why you chose 255/275s? (I don't spec my car for a specific class so I'm curious as to your sizing restriction on a trackable car)

Safest bet is to run the high offsets you first mentioned and simply throw spacers on if you don't get an answer. That way you can figure out what fits tirewise vs BBK-wise and not spend a ton of money to figure it out later.
Does a +15 look better? Depends on whether you subscribe to the "Hellaflush" mindset.
I went with a +28 on a 9" just to make sure I have room for 285's and whatever brake kit I end up with, using spacers as needed for tweaking.

From what I gather about your tire likes you want sticky and your going to auto x correct? If so I suggest 2 options 9.5 and 10.5 +15. Tires I recommended are a 20mm stagger. Either 265/35 & 285/35 or 275 295

I say all this from experience. I have ran the 265 285 and the handling is amazing. I know the nt05 come in this size and from what I hear they seem to be a nice auto x tire. Now the other option is 9.5 +15 all around with a 275/35 all around if you want to rotate. With this setup you won't have to roll your fenders. With the 10.5 +15 you will with anything larger than a 275 out back. The wheel itself will easly clear your brakes. I'm just trying to suggest something you'll be happy with for optimal auto x times. Of course the best times are going to be had by getting as much time as possible behind the wheel.

I still autocross ocassionally, once or twice a year. I've turned towards track use though. If I'd check my savings account It'd probably tell me I tracked the car about 10 weekends last year. There's no prize money or awards involved so I don't have to worry about car class or points etc... I like it better this way.

My current 245/255 staggared setup still produces oversteer. I've no objections to trying out a square setup. If I get 9.5 F+R I probably will in time. But I was leaning towards getting a bit more rubber in the rear compared to the front.

I'm open to different style wheels as well. The PF01's look really promising except I'd have to wait a few months for them. The RPF1's are just a really nice light, one piece tire for a good price.

I autocrossed the car hard the first year I had it. Years later and I still need to break all the autocross habbits I developed. But my recovery skills are T. I. T. E. tight!
