I have a G35 coupe w/ brembo that I track often, and would be more than happy to provide additional feedback/reviews on your pads.
I will be hitting up 2 events at Summit Point (both circuits), and 1 at VIR over the next 8 weeks, so let me know if I can help!

Matt, how the heck have you been. Congrats, BTW.
I'm looking forward to see what you can come up with for the non-brembo.
Man I haven't seen you since I drove the winged civic.

Brembo Pads in the CR6 compound should be availible for sale Jan '08.
If you guys really really want non-Brembos, let me know. I personally don't think that system has any business being driven to a track, much less on it. And I'd hate to encourage such thoughts....
Matt,
I got the pads the other day. I've been down with the crud for the last week. I'll get them on the car this weekend though. I can't wait to get them out on VIR.

Work fine for me using some custom cut DTC60 pads. Some racing classes don't allow brake changes or you get extra mod points for the factory Brembos. Also, knockback is not an issue with the floater calipers.
Just checking back in.
John, what class are you racing in?
I do plan to eventually get the standard pad, look for something later this summer.
CR6 pads for the Brembo caliper will be ready for sale ~middle of January.
We are taking pre-orders

BSP in autocross and one of NASA's TT classes this year (forgot which). The bigger base brakes that came standard on the 2006 and later cars work fine. Myself and a co-driver ran my car at the Nissan Performance Festival back in December at Cal Speedway. About 5 hours of track time combined.
With the DTC60 pads in the stock brakes and no air to the fronts, the brakes worked fine until the very end of the day when we cooked the fluid, had the front pads down to about 1mm, and blued the front rotors. Best lap times were in the high 1:56s.
The pads had been used at three previous autocrosses and 2.5 hours of track time at Willow Springs back in October. With air to the fronts I think we wouldn't have had any problems at all.

Knowing that, I feel much better about selling pads for them. Thanks for the info.
Matt
what was bigger on the 06's and newer? single piston caliper? larger diameter rotor? i didn't know there was a difference...good info to know.
Pad: the '06 front pad is much bigger, almost 1" longer left-to-right. Same pad that was used on the '03 Q45 and M45. Big pad.
Caliper: No idea. Sorry. Could be similar to the Q/M caliper as they have the same 45mm piston diameter. I *suspect* that would be a 2 piston caliper (can someone verify?)
Rotor is ~4mm thicker. I suspect diameter is up as well (can anyone confirm?)
That's a MUUUUUCH better system than the Altima-derived setup they had on there from 03-05. So much better.....

Well folks I had the CR6 compound this weekend at VIR. All I can say is wow.
Saturday I ran the XP8s, since it was the first track event of the year I wanted to refresh my memory and all. After the last session I swapped the front pads and thought I did a fairly good job of bedding them in.
The first hot lap going into turn one I smoked them pretty good. Doug Stewart, who was trailing me, said it was a great smoke show. I finished that session at ~80% braking. Even at ~80% braking and the smell, I was impressed.
The second session went much better. I was able to brake later in the heavy braking zones, and the car was much more settled. I was not smearing the compound like I was on the XP8s. The braking was linear, smooth and managable. Trailbraking was a breaze. As the session wore on I got more and more froggy in the braking zones, and was pleased every time that I had room left to spare.
The third Session I gave to Matt, so he could report first hand.
The forth Session, was as blissful as the second. I was able to do things with these pads I haven't been able to do with the XP8s, like trailbrake turns 4 and 16. After each session my rotors were clean and not smeared with compound.
The pads were very streetable on the way home, I don't daily drive mine but I can at least attest to driving them to and from the track is no problem.
My setup:
2003 Track Model
OE Brembo Calipers
Stoptech Slotted AreoRotors
275/35 Kumho MX Fronts
295/35 Kumho MX Rears
-2.25 negative camber all around
EDIT: I forgot that I was running OE Brembo rotors on the front that weekend.
