Berk Technology @ Super Street Super Lap Battle - VIDEO inside
Just finished up uploading the videos to you tube. Here's a re-cap of the event. There weren't that may Z's there this event. I only remember seeing the M-Workz Z, which was in the unlimited class. Very sharp looking car. And they get the hardest clutch award. They kept stalling the car in the pits coming out of 1st gear.
2 Engine Fires!
1. Tokico FD RX7 caught on fire at the track. This car gets the loudest exhaust award and biggest fire of the day.
2. EVO caught fire too. Forgot the team, but this one wasn't as exciting.
HKS brought their CT230R EVO out to break the record. JIC held the old record in their S15 @ 1:48. HKS came out and shattered the record with a 1:43! Here's a video of a walk around on the car and *** getting on the track.

Here's *** standing next to the car. The dude's very tall! And he has an umbrella gril or his GF following him everywhere. Don't remember if she was cute or not though.....
We came out in our freshly built Honda S2000 which we put together in 3 days. We were at SEMA the whole week before and came back on Sunday night to begin prepping the car. The car just has basic bolt ons but still performed quite well for a true street car. We ran a 2:04 which was the 2nd fastest NA car in the street class, behind a Moton equipped Honda S2000. Not bad for our very first time on the track with the car. Overall I think we were 7th in our class. Not great, but respectible for an event like this, but sure enough we'll get faster and faster in this car.

Nice pics Brian (Berk Technoligies).
We were planning to be ready for this event but that was a bit too optimistic obviously, hahaha. We were about 2 days behind in getting the Time Attack cars ready for this (invite only) event that we qualified for as well with the first place finish in the unlimited, and the first place in the modified class at the Willow Springs qualifying round earlier this year.
We were however barely able to get the cars running just in time to load up and head out to the Redline Time Attack finalls at Laguna Seca.
It was a frustrating weekend up there, but despite all our problems and missing most of the practices we did manage to leave there with a first place in street RWD and a Second place in Modified RWD classes.
I wish you guys were able to have made it out to Laguna Seca for those finalls as well. It would have been great to see you guys and the cars.
The S2000 looks nice, where was the MR2?

The MR2 is getting a new motor built for 2008. The engine builder is blue printing the motor and is SUPER **** about the clearances (which is a good thing). So parts are having to go back and forth between the machine shop until things are just right. We'll run the MR2 again at Calispeedway, we took 2nd place last year and we're gunning for 1st in 08. We should be making around 450HP on the little 2.0L MR2 at that event.
Just waiting on the 08 Redline event calendar.

Nice work at Super Lap and nice video!
Thanks! Too bad you guys had engine troubles at that event. We always enjoy running with Jeff and your MR2.

Street Class RWD:
1st Place: 1:18.464 Mike Bonanni Double Down Nissan 350Z
2nd Place: 1:18.571 (tie) Jeff Tyler Berk MR2 / Aaron Bitterman VRT 350Z
3rd Place: 1:19.295 Aaron Chung Honda S2000
Unfortunately, we will not be running the street class in 2008 so no more going head to head with Jeff. I believe we were both pretty close at Buttonwillow in April as well, but were both having troubles.
They have released the first event date and its March 29th & 30th at Buttonwillow. The rest has not been released yet though. See you there!
