SDsolo is just a discussion page, for San Diego events it is this page: http://www.sdr-scca.com/solo2/schedule/

Cal Club has its list of upcoming events right on the main page at solo2.com.

Sounds like *at least* BSP.

I believe that SD has both novice and street tire classes.

Cal Club (http://www.solo2.com) has a class called CSM (California Street Modified). Its a "run what ya brung" class and we don't get uptight about car modifications. You can show up and run with that class without fear of someone inspecting your car for legalities. Once you get hooked into the sport you can start thinking about a more appropriate class based on the mods to your car.

BTW... some stupidly fast cars and drivers run in CSM from time to time so don't get discouraged if you're seconds or tens of seconds behind the class leader.
