humm...who put this event on? At 2:41s into the video, you pass by a course worker who is standing only a few feet from your Z at near full speed - safety seems to be a bit lax.

I think that is the start-finish line.....I haven't looked at the video to confirm but if true, good point. Sadly, not all course workers follow the rules to closely

Big +1 on that, he could have been killed
Why would you do 2 minutes of undercar and underhood shots, bore me to death
Oh and the Z never goes into STS....maybe STS isn't your class?

P.S. Tire smoke doesn't make you faster

Ok smart ***..... I made 2 clean runs on video one of which won the SM2 class and I was second fastest overall for the day. The last run the with tire smoke was a fun run as I has already won my class The STS refers to the TURBO ON MY CAR not the class I run in. I run SM2. The "boring shots" you refer to were taken for a friend that wanted to see how the APS plenum and start bar looked. All of the shots are lumped together....I don't have time in my life to waste.
So next time you attempt to bash on someone for having a little fun...pull your head out of your A$$ and get your facts straight

Woah your car is fast.
Looks like you have stock exhaust with removed muffler.

STS = Squire Turbo System. 3rd in Pax for the day.....sitting in 6th for the season but leading my class. I my toughest Pax competition is a built WRX STI that runs BSP (I think)...I'm not sure how he runs in this class with his set-up?????? but life is too short for me to investigate it, and a mini cooper S. The mini's are way under classed by the SCCA IMO. Sorry for getting a little hot It seems that every 10th post here -vs- Z tech get me grief (yes I post to both sites)

You take things too personally... unless you were the safety steward, I wasn't even talking about you.
I was just expressing my surprise, similar to first350.

No. Exhaust is part of the STS turbo set up but looks stock (sleeper mode)

No worries.
I know that the STS is also a turbo system, but Street Touring S class would be what 99% of autocrossers would think of when talking about anything autox related

Do you run on that same course every time? It seems very confining for an FI Z. Check and see if there's a local BMW or Porsche club that does larger courses, with higher speeds.

nice - I've heard of the STS turbos...I'll have to re-watch the vids now that I know that you're running that system!

Our space for AutoX is limted. I also run at Thunderhill....3+ mile road race course owned and run by the SCCA...very fast and fun.

I sure would like to see the layout of the course. I was trying to follow it but don't think I quite have it. I like to design courses and I'm always looking for other designs.

I'm amazed at how fast your car accelerates.

I'll try to find a pdf and send it to you.

Kinda puts the "Remote mount turbo lag" argument in its place
