Default Anyone Using The Leatt Brace?

Anyone using one of these Leatt Moto-R head/neck restraints? It looks like a better alternative to the Hans device offering better mobility.

Question: Does that meet NASA or SCCA standards?

I use a HANS Sport with the sliding tethers and it works fine....the only issue I have with it is when backing up in the pits......you need someone help you backup or don't tighten your belts till you get out of your pit/paddock parking space

We call it the "toilet seat" on Rennlist.

RE: backing up, don't tighten your belts until you get closer to grid? That's what I do...

Hans here as well, no issue's with movement....just don't like the price. But as for what you have there, no way would I wear it. It's hard enough to get out of the car now.

I think the starting price for the injection molded one is only $395. I'd like a closer look at one. It's SFI 3.8 approved or some sh*t like that. It's a very effective design. Check the link for specific info.

i checked the link but wasn't impressed by what i read. maybe i just skimmed to much. seemed like they were just quoting medical terminology 101. not giving a lot of hard information, examples, or why. any pictures of this on someone in a car or even standing?

Hans pricing has come down quite a bit now that they have some competition. They just released a "budget friendly" version not to long ago.

I don't have either, I can't say boooo, but I am however exploring options.

There were some vids on the site that were pretty informative.
