I have small feet so i use my big toe and the toe next to it on the brake and my entire heel in the gas, you just have to be able to bend it enough, with the right amount of track time you will find that the Z is one of the most forgiving sports cars out there. Bleeping the throttle is so smooth in my car even b4 the jwt flywheel. Remember try to match how fast u let the clutch out to how fast ur rpm's are going up and always release the clutch on the up-rev try not to go past the inital rpm the next gear is going to be in...

actually, I was just seeing how you would respond and I am glad to see an actual true answer. We have had many here who said "it's easy, anyone can do it" then when asked how they never responded. It sounds like you have been working on this and found a away that works for you.

I will say I don't agree with the toe on the brake technique. It means one has the weakest part of the foot, and the least surface area on the most important pedal. For those with smaller feet I teach them to place the entire ball of the foot on the brake then rotate the foot and catch the side of the foot, or even the ball on the ankle on the gas. That way you make sure you always catch the brake with the correct pressure.

do you find it makes it quite a bit easier? My ankles are not very flexible if that makes sense, so i have a hard time with the pedal being a bit lower then the brake unless on hard braking.

I totally dig on what your saying. I really do try to roll the heel onto the gas as i bleep the throttle to the correct rpm's. I'm just saying try 2 start dropping the clutch as the rpm's are on the way up as they are down for less tranny shock, also depending on what kinda racing I've had a quite a bit of experience on track drifting and time attack as u do want tranny shock going into a shift-lock drift but you dont want to do that on a time attack as u already know. Seems like u have a good amount of track time under ur belt as well. My mom owns a saleen mustang aftermarket parts shop so I've been trained on mustangs much b4 imports as I used race for the shop for publicity. Mustangs are terrible for keeping a good line as they do not have IRS in the back of coarse unless if your driving a 03-04 cobra (BAMF) haha.

I'll try to put up some videos of how to do it correctly later as I will do it myself in my own Z to show the proper way in the Z.

i installed this on my car over the weekend. i can't really comment on the actual heel n toe cause i haven't tried it yet, but i can say it will be much easier. i found myself hitting the gas a few times when i was braking without try to, so it should really help
