Default HPDE - Gingerman Raceway - Sunday 12 October

Track Day Unlimited and the S2000 Club are jointly-offering a Gingerman Fall Event (Driver's Ed.). The venue is Gingerman Raceway, So. Haven, Michigan just east of I-196 on Phoenix Road.

The date is Sunday, 12 October 2003.

The touring session for this event is a two-hour open track but it's intended for true "touring." This is unique for this event alone and may be repeated at some future events if it is well received by the participants.

The field is limited to 65 cars including instructors.
Pricing is quite reasonable at $155. Touring fee is $20 for non-participants in the event. There is no touring charge for participants.

Applications made after September 28 are subject to a late filing fee of $20. Another late fee of $20 is charged for "at site" enrollment including tech inspection.

Further detailed information on this event can be found at <http://www.s2kca.com/gingerman>. Registration forms may be filed by e-mail or regular mail and payment may be made through PayPal or by check.

Contacts and nearly all necessary information may be found at that site. If you don't find it there sending e-mail to trackday@InnovaTech.net.

SpeedTrial USA will be holding a similar event on Saturday 11 October at Gingerman. Make it a full weekend!

There are lots of slots left. So, I'm waiving late fees for this event even if you sign up at the track.

How come your price is so high? I know that the test and tune costs 60 dollars, but you can get 6 of your friends and rent the whole track out at that price.

max2000jp,

If you can do it for that price, I'll bring you in as a partner.

Honestly, max2000jp, if you don't really know what the cost structure of renting a race track, purchasing insurance for the event, securing and paying the corner workers, tow truck, standby ambulance, PA system and any local fees, you ought not to comment on the pricing. You and your six friends at $60 each don't even cover the event insurance fee.

The market pricing for a one-day HPDE at a "Gingerman" type track runs between $130 and $180. I'm right in the middle.

I'm 60 years old and I've been hanging around race tracks for more than 40 years. $60 for an all-day weekend event went dormant in the 1970's.

It's a very good price.

I know how much it costs to rent the track, since my friend rents Gingerman out on a regular basis. Maybe Bob gives him a great deal, I am not sure. BTW...I meant $155 X 6

Who is your friend. I'll offer the partnership to him, not you.

I don't think he would be interested in a partnership, since he rents the track out for his own personal use. I know speedtrialusa charges 130, so I was wondering why your organization charges more. I am not knocking your event, just wondering what extras it might offer.

Pricing policy is classified company information. So, you'll just have to keep wondering.

Are you going to SpeedTrial on Saturday?

Nope, I was out of town.

What kind of lap times do you run in your S2k at gingerman?

Generally 1:39-1:41 which is about very enjoyable without too much stress on a senior citizen. A young acquaintance drove it to a 1:36:80 over the weekend. So, it's got more in it that I get out of it. That's for sure.

What are your times?
