I run a battery in the car, I need the weight to make 2280#.
As far as cost it will come in somewhere over $10,000 and less than $20,000.
I don't have all the receipts yet and I probably don't want to add it up anyway.
can you give us a ball park on the cost of the whole car? curiosity is getting the best of me
I only wish we would have had more space to give Jim and his car, there were so many cool little items on there we could not cover in detail.
While he may not win the virtual dyno battle (maybe he would, we never saw a dyno sheet to confirm his numbers ) you cant argue with the cars on track history.
I bought this car new from a local builder about 3 years ago as a tube frame rolling chassis with the fiberglass body attached and setup with a VQ30 and a Jerico 4 speed. By the time you add Motec, all the misc. parts, spares, and last year changing to the VQ35 I could have well over 50K in it. Once you get to drive a tube frame car you don't want to go back to a standard tub car. There is a video of the car and several others on YouTube. If I was computer Literate I could link you to it. Search( ICSCC Portland 2008 350z) on You Tube car #35 Dark blue. I am kind of hooked on racing and that is how I spend my spare time and money. I noticed that warmmilk is from the Seattle area and if he were to show up at Pacific Raceways on May 2 or 3, I will be at that race and he could see the dyno sheets if you don't believe it.

I don't mean to take away from Jim's car. I have been watching it at the runnoffs for several years now and am very impressed with it. It is just that this was the year to upgrade the motor (to keep up with the Panoz)and I was expecting 375 Hp with the restrictor and got the 399 Hp and am just itching to get it on the track. My car has a lot more tweaking to do to it before it is anywhere close to Jim's car.
