Default Philly SCCA AX....

..very long course...well over a minute, at Citizens Bank Park.

Still running street rubber, so was not really competitive in BSP. Was about 4.5 seconds out of trophy.

By the way I'm a 67 year old geezer.

Well there were 2 other 350Zs, both driven by youngsters....they were several seconds SLOWER than me.

Maybe THEY need a special class.

i didn't mean it in a bad way, more in a badass way. you're a "67 year old geezer" (as you said), but you still haul ***, thats absolutely badass in my book...

btw, they have a "special" class for youngsters that suck, its called novice, but some are just to damn proud to put themselves in it...

but because they think about "novice" as shortbussers...
if they'll call the same class "talented from mother nature" will be full!

advertise in the right way is the key!

btw congrats to OP

......all in fun, I understand. After years of AXing mid-engined cars (914s and Boxsters),
this front engined RWD car presents some new challenges.

Also, more HP/Torque to control. I'm learning the car though and am feeling more comfortable in it.

The senior class is allowed to nap between heats. That's what I heard.

And on a more serious note I raced with Philadelphia SCCA several years at Ripken Stadium, Aberdeen, MD. Believe that 2007 was the last year. Great group of guys and girls.

Hey Dennis, Was that your first AX in the new Z? When I spoke with you at Hershey earlier this year I think you said you just bought her. I was the DB Z that ran opposite heats from you...I was working while you were running. You looked pretty good from my station. I ran B-Stock. How do you like the Z compared to your Boxter? Rich

..rocketrich,

not my first with the Z. I've run with the PCA at Hershey 2xs. Thata was my first with the SCCA. My best time was 78.4 something.

Your car was a lot cleaner than when I saw you in Hershey. I really like the DB.

Well the Boxster is made for AX and was a great car...if only the motors would hold up. Once I get the same amount of AX and track time In the Z, i'm sure we'll be pretty good.

I'm BSP cause of Tein S springs and 15/20mm spacers.

...go to autoX4u.com, there are schedules in there for the entire tri-state area. Next week Sunday June 7th Central PA Porsche club will run one in Hershey, at the Giant Center/Hershy Park . BIG lot, fast courses, usually 6runs.

No you don't need a Porsche.

Dennis, Nice pic! Thanks. Will you be at Park City this sunday for AX? I like that venue, the course is usually on the smaller side, but the mall food court makes for a non-standard Ax lunch for me! Rich
