I have an Aiptek AHD that I used all of last season mated to a headrest mount. The Aiptek base shattered at Pocono last fall so I have taken the guts of the camera out and am putting them in a plastic box.

I also just got a Go Pro Motorsport Wide that I am in the process of mounting in my front grill.

They make some decent ones at: www.Chasecam.com
Not at a bad price, I got two and I used them at ZdayZ 2007. Never fell OFF!

Here is the one I got 99$, (Of coarse they have cheaper ones) this is just an idea what they have at that website. They have ones that go on windows, onto the panels of the car, inside the car mounted: etc...

Goodluck.

if it's for trackdays check the safety rules - many don't allow the suction cup mounts

they want them 'hard mounted' - bolts / screws etc. plus safety cords so that you don't make projectiles bouncing inside you ride (or cluttering up the track!)

if this is the case with your track, I've found the CruiseCam headrest mount to work really well, and since it's screwed on and has a camera tether, it will likely meet most safety reqs.

Agreed. The camera is up to you. But, the suction mount give your the most flexability.

www.gpscity.com and contact Jordan (canadian) on here, they sell Ram mounts , have many options for any of your needs, and YES he runs his products in his G when at the track.

i use the chase bullet cam. The camera and mount are very light weight and the recording device is seperate from the camera. Its very easy to set up and use. The entire set up isn't very cheap, but it works well especialy with the wide angle lense.
