Asphalt Ventures ... VIR ... November 30th
As you guys have surely seen from my other post, we had to cancel the Bluegrass Motorsports Park event So now our focus shifts to the final Asphalt Ventures event of the year: Monday, November 30th ... Virginia Int'l Raceway Full Course
Offering loads of track time and top-shelf instruction (you won't find a better classroom or in-car team than I'll be bringing to VIR! )
There will be 5 entry options (3 run groups): novice DE, intermediate DE, advanced DE, solo, instructor.
Novices (basically anyone with 4 or less events) ... 2 hours of track time, in-car instructor, in-class instruction, and ride-along privileges. $299
Int & Adv (5+ events) ... 3 hours of track time, in-car instructors for intermediates (by request for advanced), in-class instruction, ride-along privileges. $299
Solo (20+ events w/open passing experience) ... over 4 hours of track time, advanced seminars, ride-along privileges, professional in-car coaching available. $349
Instructors (See requirements on registration pages) ... over 4 hours of track time (mixed w/solo), advanced seminars, guaranteed only 1 student! $125
The schedule for the day looks like this:
Now for the incentive bit: EASY-PAY!!
For a very limited time, I am allowing partial payment now, with the balance becoming due September 30th. When you register, on the payment screen enter the discount code: EZPAY. This will automatically take 50% off your order total, and your CC will be charged the discounted amount.
After September 30th, there will be a few options available to pay the balance (your card will NOT be automatically charged.)
This promotion ends August 31st, so get registered early!
This event is the Monday immediately following the Thanksgiving holiday, so hopefully with enough advanced warning, many can take an extra day off work.
Please post, PM, or email if you have any questions.

Yes, it is a weekday event... although I have some options that I'm mulling over to add something to the event on Sunday... not sure if it will happen, nor am I really sure what it will entail...
But if anyone has interest in adding some Sunday activities to the event, please PM or email me and let me know. I can tell you what it won't be: it will not be more lapping on Full Course (It's a VIR Member day.)

Chuck Hawks will be handling the lion's share of it, but Peter Krause will be there as well... still working out the details on who'll do what though.
Mike Skeen will be available for professional coaching as well ... again, details are still being hashed out

I have the option of running Patriot Course (clockwise.) I've been hesitant to run it, more than anything because it's not exactly cheap... but also the experience we had on it back in 2004 when it opened wasn't stellar.
That said, I think it has some great features and is still a fun little (1.1 miles) circuit.
Other options would be to have a skid-pad day, or possibly use the South Course paddock in some capacity (now fully paved.)

On Sunday yes, you can't run Grand and Full at the same time (since Grand uses all but a small portion of the back straight)... the VIR Members are running Grand East on Saturday, but you have to have an invite from a VIR Club member, and you can only drive in the speed-limited touring lights group.
I could run Grand on Monday... but to be honest, everything I've heard is that it's not worth the price. And the entry fees would go up if I did that.
Plus, the novice and int/adv groups would only get about 8 laps per 30 minute session (granted, it's one helluva lap... but still.)

You can split your entry fee into two parts if you sign up before midnight Monday... if that helps.
