Default AMB Transponder

Where would be the cheapest place to get an AMB transponder, saw them on pegasus for ~400.

Also any preferences between wired and wireless transponder?

Several clubs and track groups get discounts for buying in bulk. We do and then discount the purchase for our members.

Also from personal experience I would recommend the wired one. The rechargable ones seem to be a bit problematic and the batteries don't last as long as I think they should.

Plus you can hard mount the wired one and not worry about it ever coming loose on track.

Wow, they really went up in price. I can't remember how much I paid ($350?), but I remember feeling like I got totally hosed; like buying ink cartridges for printers. I searched for a long time, and the prices were almost fixed from vendor to vendor; hard to find a deal out there.
