Default Need help choosing right width/offset track wheels

Background: building NA z for HPDE events, car is lowered on jic flt-a2's and has aftermarket camber arms.

Looking to get a set of 17" enkei rpf1's and wrap them in 275/40/17's, Choices:
17x10 +18 or +38
17x9.5 +18 or +38
17x9 +22
Original plan was to run 17x10 +18 all around but starting to hear it may be to aggressive of an offset for the fronts. Anyone have any experience with this setup for track? Also noticed people tracking with 17x9.5 +18 all around, or could run 17x9 +22 all around, and the last possible setup would be 17x9 +22 f and 17x10 +18 r (with different size tires up front), but original plan was to get away from the staggered setup and go with a square setup. Now im having trouble deciding which way to go and wanted some opinions from people here who actually track their z's and not for just show. Thanks in advance.

I have the same suspension as you.
I run 17 x 9.5 +18 with absolutely no issues.

Which 275/40/17? Hoosiers run wide, and should be on a 17x10 minimum. In my experience, 17x10 +18 with a 275 tire will likely rub, as my 17x10 +20 (net) with Hoosier 275s just rub on the outside a tad.
The 17x9.5 +38s can work, but you'll need to be careful about front brake clearance issues with the 17" RPF1s. The barrel on them gets thinner, meaning that your total inner diameter shrinks, which caused problems with my Brembos on the front.

You didn't say if you have the Brembo brake calipers on the car. We run Brembos' with the SCCA T2 setup which is 9x18 + 35 fronts and 10x18 + 38 rears with 285/30 tires on all four corners. We put ARP wheels studs on all 4 corners. We had to use a 22mm spacer on the front to clear the brakes and 10mm spacer on rear only to get the tires out further. I can get you 15% off on any Enkei wheel + shipping. Let me know if I can help you. We have raced on Enkei's for 4 years now.

As a general rule of thumb, sure. Personally I like to be able to rotate the car a good deal so with a basically stock power setup and a lighter and stiffer than stock car I've been happy with 265's on all four. Allows nice controllable trail braking and I can power over if need be. But hey, it's what I've personally been happy with. Not for everyone, or every driving style, or every setup. Next year I'm going to 285's on all 4 but I'm also increasing power by 200+whp!

I merely suggest 265's as it's a nice balance point and if you over tire a car (I have no idea the OP's skill level) you tend to mask driving flaws.

i have the exact setup you're asking about (17x10 + 18 rpf1) and it works great and fits over 13inch stoptechs front and rear. I rolled the fenders as a preventative measure so I can't say for certain if it was needed or not.

It's in his sig. With a SPL parts sticker on the door pretty safe to say he'll limit himself to parts listed on their web site. Not a fan of Clubsports, sorry.
