Vol magnetics have not been used since the Georgia game. Most likley will not use them for a while.
The pics are from a testing session where we tested the full range of rebound and bump, front and rear. With our big sway bar it takes full rebound and near full bump to keep the rears planted. The Koni's have been revalved and are working very well.
Wheels are Kodiak....16.5 lbs.

The only Modifications to the car is as follows: The modifications are within the SCCA stock class rules.
Koni double adjustable shocks
Custom Sway bar ( Solid bar very stiff) tomsn 16
Kodiak wheels ( stock size, 17's)
Hoosier Tires ( 275's front and rear)
very expensive custom exhaust. (from tomsn16)
Custom Long wheel studs. (from tomsn16)
Custom 1/4" wheel spacers, (from tomsn16)
If you are wondering tomsn16 is my Dad and mechanic, I just drive the car.
Also remember the blue Z above was the fastest B-Stock Z in the SCCA SOLO2 Nationals this year. Next year I will be ready to beat the S2000's.

Very nice, just started the campaign in my 350Z. If I have the time next year I plan on attending. Where in TN are you? I might come up for a race when the weather is nice. Chattanooga native.

Carter,
Congrats on the Solo 2 Nationals & the One Lap! Can you tell us if you experienced the bounce with the stock suspension? Did the DA Konis fix the problem? Many of us are waiting on the SA Yellow Sport shocks from Koni. Just wondering if they will fix the problem. The other option is the NISMO S-Tune shocks/springs kit. Probably around $600 vs. $1300 respectively. Thanks for your expert opinion.

The last event I went to was in Virginia Beach, had a great time just need some competition.
www.odr-scca.org
There was two other z but I had a 3 second lead on the next fastest z. And cliped a s2k by second and half. Only mods thus far are kumho 255/40r17. I will defenitly come up in the near future.

Yeah, what is it with those things? Last autocross, I placed 5th out of 6th, behind four S2000's! Now, I was on stock tires and they were on Hoosiers, but still. Maybe after a few years the Z driver's will have the seat time with the Z to start winning some events?

The S2000 is well set up for autox with lighter weight, etc. We'll see long term how competitive the Z is, I suppose. I'm not a good enough driver to tell myself, though

I let my instructor drive during the same autocross (which i finished last btw). He has never driven a Z before and I have the same crappy bridgestone tires, my tire pressures were too high, full tank of gas and a spare tire.
Best BS time for the day in an S2000 was 34.7.
His time in my Z (with me inside!!) was 35.X !!!!!(35.5 I think - I was too excited at the end of the run to remember the time)
I was like "HOW THE HELL DID HE DO THAT?!?!!?"
I agree with MannisBoy-once people sort out the right set ups the Z should be a great autocross car even with its weight compared to S2000.
Now, if only I could remember to look ahead, and not use my throttle like a light switch, and brake later, and don't do all the stupid things through slalom, and.....I might actually be able to tap into some of the potential of this car!
Can't wait till next autox.

I remember that! So it can be done, we just need the experience. I bet with R compounds that guy would have matched the best time of the day in BS in your Z. BTW, I gave them my first name (Chad) even though I regularly use my middle name (Gennaro). I was too rushed to bother spelling it out to them!
