I read Mr. Nesbitt's DA with interest. It's well worth noting his 'Cliff's Notes' version of the GCR, particularly in the appeals and protest sections. There are plenty of SCCA racers who don't know what happens in either. And I particularly liked his reference towards the end of his 2010 review using an old sailor's manual about letting your ship get caught on a reef and the accompanying rules for such.
So if you're a new SCCA racer (or even an old one like me), there's some worthwhile stuff in there. And having raced in mixed class racing groups in both SCCA and NASA, there's some good advise about situational awareness and other areas that would benefit enthusiasts no matter where you race!
