More likely a limited race contingency program and discounted parts for registered racers. To sum up: register for the program, display Nissan graphics in certain areas of the race car, compete in sanctioned races and WIN, before submitting any claim forms.

I wish Nissan would have the same level of support that Mazda does.

Marty- I agree!^^^ But keep in mind that a large percentage of Mazda's marketing budget is dedicated to racing and building the Zoom-Zoom image. Not so, with any of the larger mass market car makers. I think Mazda is ahead of the curve in their support of grassroots racing and they took their cue from...Nissan.
Nissan had been a company that recognized and valued the efforts of grassroots competitors from the 60's through 2006. Nissan still holds the record for consecutive and most National titles for a marque at the SCCA Runoffs. This announcement from Nissan Motorsports offers more than a glimmer of hope that streak (and others) will be continued.

Details of the 2010 Nissan Motorsports Contingency Program have been released and cover SCCA National and World Challenge road racing, Redline Time Attack, Pro off-road truck racing and Formula Drift events. These are primarily competitions that take a high degree of committment to compete in and most of monetary awards (ranging from $100 to $1,500) are for Divisional or National Championships. In other words, you'll need to race in many events to gain the points needed and spend thousands in testing and development to be in a position to win. Unfortunately, this grassroots program offers nothing for Solo2, Rally or RallyCross competitors.
You need to register with Nissan Motorsports, put the supplied 'NISSAN' decals on the car, submit a W-2 and claim forms to collect any of the contingency money.
