You're right, the camera angle blows, but I do hope it didn't damage the G too bad.

I found myself constantly trying to peer over the dash.

 

Ya that angle is terrible lol, man ouch... that is tough for the guy that hit the wall... everyone's worst nightmare. It doesn't look that bad, but I'm sure there is a whack of damage done to a done of parts, the driver should be fine though.

FYI, not sure what you use for a camera. I use my Sony point and shoot camera with a video feature and I tape it to the back of mirrer rear view mirror. It gives a GREAT result... search for ParkerMX6 on YouTube if you want to check out the angle (you just have to adjust your mirror on a funny angle to get the camera pointing straight).

 

I actually had no plans of taking a vid of that run but I was like "what the heck" since I had a vid cam at that time (not the point n shoot cam)

Get a CruiseCam mount. Goes on top of the seat and gives an excellent view out the window.

That auto shifts so sloow, is that how all auto Z's shift?

i believe the car in front of the s2k was pretty slow. It was a novice session so we couldn't overtake unless we are at the main straight. I wish my Z was boosted!!

The G guy was running Nitto Invos. Not sure what size though. I think he mashed the pedal too early while exiting the turn, then he hit the candystrips (he probably understeered into them) as he was skidding and so he started to spin.

In fact the A/T shifts fairly fast since I got a custom VB upgrade. It just sounds pretty slow on video. But yea compared to DSG and the likes, it is slow.
I need the Transgo VB upgrade.

 

You could always custom fab a headrest camera mount out of aluminum for real cheap.

That's too bad about the G. I'm sure it could have been much worse.

 

Hit Jordan (Canadian) up at www.GPScity.com up for a mount, he has one that works perfectly on our cars, and its pretty cheap. He even has the adapters for Gopro.

 

At least he got a pretty sweet Altezza tail light out of it.
