Default Best Wheel size 18 or 19?

Deciding to go with 18 or 19" Enkei wheels for best big brake kit options on
03 350Z. Will be a track only car. I drive in upper run groups.
Any advise on pro's and con's appreciated. Currently have 17" Enkei RPF1
9/22 and 10/38. Only 3 track days on them. Looking to sell and up size.
Currently using stock brakes. The only decent Brake kit that will fit is Rotora
13". So, Before I go for them thought why not have 14" rotors.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

I think also the smaller stoptech (that I suggest WAY more than rotora) will fit the 17".
18" have the most selection of R compounds for the Z...

on the other end I don't have any issue with the stock brembo about fade resistance and stopping power IF you provide enough cooling to it.

I have 18's with 332mm Stoptech kit......17's would fit w/o issue as well. As Ataru said....the factory brembo's are excellent with proper cooling and pads.

18. But, I run 17 on track with BBK. Width is more important, though.

I wouldn't consider Rotora a decent kit, and there are many better kits that will fit. 18's are the way to go, right now i run a 17 front and 18 rear for the track, and have a 355mm rotors 6 piston caliper.

Hard to find 19" tires for your track-only car. Tire manufacturers optimize their designs on 18" tires - I'd stick with 18s. I am running four 18x10 +38 RPF1s myself, and they are fantastic.

Go with 18s and a stop-tech brake kit. The market is still a couple or more years out from putting out comp-spec 19" tires on a larger scale.

19" tires would get expensive for a track car. Not fun.

so it seems like 18's are the new 17's now huh?

Was gonna go 17's for my track setup but as most of you are saying, besides the OEM brembo's it looks like you'll need 18's for a BBK.

Anybody know if 17's will clear the akebono kit?

that would be cutting it close due to the slim space in a 17. so i doubt it. 18's are your best bet

17's. Cheaper tires, better availability, less rotating mass, and so on. Better to find a BBK that fits 17's than go with 18's. Brake rotors also add rotational mass, so keep that in mind. My Wilwood six pistons and 330 mm rotors fit fine with 17's.

The 332mm (ST40) StopTech kit fits under most 17s as well.
