Default New Final Drive, Now ABS Code

Two days after a Giken LSD/Central 20 final drive install my ABS freaked out, engaging in a low speed stop. Then it disengaged (I assume) and threw ABS/Slip lights and TCS can't be engaged. I'm 3 days from a track day and wonder if the fix is a reflash, which there's no time for, or some other method. Should I disconnect the ABS module for the event and just deal with heavy braking old school? Sorry if this has been covered but my search only got me to posts about drivers with module electrical shorts, which I don't think is my problem. I'm guessing it's a wheel speed sensor issue caused by the gearset, but I don't know what to do about it.

I have a 3.9FD and a cusco diff since "a while ago" (read 40K + miles on my '08 nismo).. I think one of your sensor got F* up... because I never, ever, had any problem with that.
add that I'm even using smaller diameter tires than stock ( 255/40R17 F and 275/40R17 R)

I don't know the exact answer to your question but I do know it would help if you listed the year and trim level of your car and all the mods you have.....G/L with the fix!

Okay, BLCK. I can't think why, the problem is connected to the latest mods, but here goes-2005 Enthusiast, Stillen intake and headers, Berk Hi-Flo cats, Stillen oil cooler and larger, baffled oil pan, SPL front camber arms, Eibach Pro-Kit springs w/ Koni Yellow adjustable shocks. ECU reflashed last year after the last air management mod.
Thanks,
John

Have you double checked your ABS sensors by the axles?

I'll be taking it to get the codes looked at later today, Farmer, and we'll look at the sensors too, thanks. It's interesting Ataru did this change in his car 40K miles ago with no codes. Hmmm....

Codes described "erratic" speed readings to both rear wheel sensors so the chattering and hopping apparently threw the codes. Giken's 80w-250 gear oil is now in the diff for tomorrow's track day so while that will certainly eliminate most of the low speed parking lot hop, it doesn't seem like it'll take ALL of it away and keep those sensitive sensors happy. But we'll see...

Hate to resurrect a old thread but did anyone find a fix for this issue? I actually just had a Tomei 2 way installed and about 3 to 4 days after my ABS stated engaging randomly at low crawling speeds, throwing the ABS light. Its a 04 base so no TCS as I would think that possiblity the TCS was effecting the ABS.

Can anyone confirm that it might just be the sensors were messed with during installation? or is there possiblity something else causing this?

thanks guys,

Thats a 2 way 100% lock right? Couyld have something to do with that or your wheel speed sensors are not reading right. Make sure your stub axles are not floating.
