Default 17x10 +18 rpf1 and 332mm 6 piston Wilwood BBK

As the title states, I took the plunge on a Wilwood 332mm 6 pot BBK with my current wheel setup *17x10 +18 rpf1. There seems to be mixed thoughts on the forums about whether or not a 17x9.5 +18 rpf1 will fit with a 275 tire clearing the fenders and also clear a bbk. I noticed in scott300's postings that he needed atleast +13 in 17x9.5 to clear the stoptech bbk calipers.

Question is whether or not a 17x10 in +18 will fit with a meaty tire and still be able to clear a 332mm bbk. What you guys reckon? Or else I'll probably need to run a 5mm or 7mm spacer. Start placing bets your bets lol I'll update once the brake kit comes in and is installed.

Well a 275/40-17 is pretty much the limit of tire with the 9.5 +18 , the 10 inch wheel will stick out farther. Now the Wilwood calipers arn't as beefy as the Stoptech calipers and you should clear just fine with the 332mm rotor. It will be really close (need to find out) with the 355 rotor, cause i want the 9.5 +18 RPF1's soon.

Agreed. The StopTech are a little thicker. So, you may be in luck.
A lot depends on the shape of the spokes/spines of the wheel too.

Good luck...

That was because the barrel of the 17x9.5 +38 RPF1 makes the ID of the wheel more narrow, so it needed a 25mm spacer (to net the +13) to clear the UPPER part of the caliper, not the width of the caliper itself. You probably won't have the same problem with the +18 wheel. 17x10 +18 should be pretty far away from the caliper itself, and as long as the barrel doesn't pose any interference, you should be golden, and I'd think a 275/40/17 should fit without much issue assuming you keep to a 332mm rotor.

Ahhhhh so I had it all wrong then, I misunderstood what part was not clearing on the caliper.

Bit of a relief off my shoulders then, I was getting pretty antsy about the clearance haha

Yea the 275's up front already fit great, no rubbing, I've been running them for awhile I love the v710's, and extremely glad star specs finally decided to come out with their 265 tire in 17's that I can use as a street tire all around now.
