I've been attending solo in STR class for few times in this year already; Other than S2000, I don't see the 350z being competitive at all (Maybe it's our surrounding region) I wonder if the limited tire size rule has anything to do with it.

Do they even have STR class in SCCA National Championship finale @ Lincoln?
I know National was last week, but I didn't bother to check the result.

New Solo2 classes run as provisional for the first two or three years at the S2 Nationals. STR was a pretty full class this year with Mazda MX5s and S2Ks dominating all the trophies. A couple Z3s and 944s showed up.

 

Locally, a 350Z is a good choice and a lot of fun. There was one 350Z at Nationals which the driver said was well prepared when I talked with him, real LSD, 255 rubber, race seat...
