Nissan FINALLY has a 350Z brake duct!
Hey guys,
Just wanted to let you know that Nissan Motorsports FINALLY is selling a carbon fiber brake duct for the 350Z. Thought I'd pass it on. I think the cost is about $299. Paul at Nissan Motorsports can sell them. PM me if you need his contact info.
It has a 2.5" inlet and bolts right up without requiring removal of the hub.
Here's a pic from our car:

$300 for real carbon fiber (not fiberglass with a paint scheme) is a good price. I'll have to weigh it, but it's next to nothing.
The braket we have is a pre-production bracket. No worries on the brake line. It won't rub. That photo is at full lock. When it's not at full lock, it doesn't contact. Besides, you can easily loosen the brake line screw and raise the line up so it's not contacting at full lock... A million ways to solve that problem.
And it's a very cool peice. Super shiny without any clear coat.

brake ducts...
do you have any photo's of the duct routing to and from that location on the driver and passenger sides. It looks like the duct is on the trailing edge of the rotor and when I look at doing that it looked impossible to get the ducting to the location. I couldn't figure out how to allow for the suspension travel and the turning radius and get the ducting to the back of the rotor.
Thanks.
Thanks.

This is to cool the brakes under hard braking. If you don't do events longer than 20-30 minutes and you don't brake very hard, then these aren't needed. But if you're getting brake fade on the track, then these will help.
We're not showing the image with the hose attached.
We've been running 3" hose around the back of the suspension without any problem. A 2.5" hose will fit even better.
We run the NISMO front bumper, so we use the factory opening and route the air straight back from it. When we were running the normal 350Z nose, we had a duct in front of the radiator.
Nissan has the hose and ducts too.
