On a side note, my co-driver and I are pretty sure Tom Berry runs Kumho's...so yeah, sorry. Hopefully he doesnt though. We were actually thinking of bringing my car down to run in CS just to win a set of Kumhos! But the clutch has just started to slip and I dont want to risk it.

Good news!

I didn't do the alignment myself, ran out of time and didn't have the confidence I would do it right So I went and had it checked, had the Toe adjusted. Here's where I currently am

I'm happy with that for a start. Friday or Saturday I'll adjust the toe manually using toe plates. Might try to even up the camber a bit, but not likely for the next two events (tour/pro).

Just talked with the guys at AM Performance about control arms. The 370Z arms will be available soon, followed by 350Z arms. Here is the kicker, they are going to offer a Delren bushing option for the NASA and SCCA folks. There arms will be legal for Street Prepared and for NASA have less points than running Heim jointed arms. Contact them for details and when they will be available.

I have seen the 370Z arm in person. Its very nice. They are on the new upper arm in their new race car at Barber this week. My car is back in their shop when they return on the 11th for their brake upgrade and few other goodies.

My stock arms with the modified bushings from John are still holding up strong. Though I need to get his removal tool put back in the mail!

I still contend that the kinetix are legal. They are so cheap I will buy a set in the off season for comparison. If you plan to run national stuff right now....offset bushings are about the only way to go.

What is it that could possibly be illegal about the Kinetix? They have polyurethane bushings.

Maybe someone can enlighten me, I just had the kinetix UCA's and a aggresive alignment done...I was looking to get -3 deg front and -2 deg rear for a hoosier A6 setup... The tech told me that he couldn't adjust the kinetix past -2.6, which to me doesn't make sense.. Has anyone had this issue? Car feels great BTW but I thought I would be able to get more.

Don't obsess on a number. Run the car and take tire temps and lap times. Also, remember that:

1. Wider tires generally require less camber.
2. Bigger radius turns require less camber.
3. Braking is improved with less camber.
4. Specific tires require more or less camber (ie: Hoosiers like more, Kumhos like less).

So, again, don't worry if you're .4 degrees less then what someone on a web site posted as ideal. Go out and test.

That could be close to where they max out. I think they are listed as 1.5 -/+ from factory settings and IIRC my car at that height was at -1.5 up front. So -3.000 would be the absolute max, but if you consider these are probably not the most QC'd pieces on the market there may be manufacturing defects that may eat up a little of the adjustability.
