I definitely plan to be there as a spectator. I would love to participate, but I don't have quite enough paper stacked right now and I'm going to have to wait for your event at VIR.

I'm trying to pull together a group from the GSP area to come down so that I can get some friends in my area interested in tracking their cars. It makes it a lot more fun when you have a caravan on the way to events.

Last call for THSCC/TZC’s Southern Fried Track event down at CMP this weekend, June 18-19. We still have room in all run groups available and as an added bonus, we will be running 4 sessions per day. That’s 30% more track time than our normal events. Registration will be closing on Wednesday, so please sign up as soon as possible so that we can get instructor/student pairings finalized. Here's an update on Friday's karting...

We've still got spaces left if anyone wants in... the clinic, hosted by rEvolution Performance w/special guest Mike Skeen... is $125. You'll get three 15 minute track sessions and coaching from Mike Skeen and Chuch Hawks between sessions. Right now we have 7 spots still available for beginner/novice karters, and 5 slots still available for more experienced karters.

These karts are 9hp (non-shifter), capable if up to 50mph.
Minimum age is only 12 (with a parent on site of course).
The course is a .7 mile road-couse type, outdoor asphalt circuit http://www.carolinamotorsportspark.com/trackkart.html

Also, thanks to Marty, a few lucky karters will have MH Motorsports data acquisition units attached to their karts for classroom discussion!

After the clinic, there will be a 30 minute enduro team race. Right now there are 9 teams confirmed (2 people per team.) If we get more attendees we'll move to three-person teams (there are only 10 karts)

Cost for the race is $50 per driver.

A light lunch will be provide at check in (from 11:00 to 12:30)
